Well hey there friend, and welcome back to my blog! It’s nearly the new year, and I’m really so excited! What better way to celebrate the new year, than with a new calendar? Now I’m tired of going out and buying a calendar every year, so I decided to make a reusable desk calendar! Here’s what you’ll need:
-Block of wood
-Paint, marker, and paintbrush
-Nails and hammer
I painted my block of wood a thin coat of white to begin with.
I used a 3 color gradient for my block. I started by painting out the main blocks of colors, in pink, blue, and yellow. Then while the paint is still white, I blended in-between the colors.
The next step is to measure out and mark where you’re going to hammer in your nails, and then put them in.
For the actual numbers of the calendar, I cut out some tags on thick paper, and hole punched the tops. I cut the papers about 2in x 3in, and wrote all all the numbers on with a sharpie.
I also cut out all my months onto small circles, hole punched them, and added a nail on the top. Here’s how it turned out!
I really loved doing this craft, and I thought it turned out great! I can’t wait for this coming year, I have so many plans and ideas to share with all of you. Let me know what you think in the comments, and have a great new year!
