Do I love Valentine’s Day? Yes. Do I love to make cheesy cards? I sure do. The real question, is does a pop-up Valentine make everything better? Heck yeah it does! Here’s how to achieve the classy, could’ve been done by your neighbor’s kid, pop-up valentine look. That was a mouthful.
You’re going to need 2 sheets of paper. One for cutting, the other to cover up the cuts of the first paper. If that makes sense.
Fold your cutting paper in half hamburger style, and cut two slits to make your first Pop-up. The wider/longer the slits you cut, the more room you have for bigger pop-ups. Of course, bigger doesn’t always mean better.
Crease them like this. (But maybe a little less crooked.)
And POW there’s the Pop-up! Now you can cover the back of the card with your other piece of paper and tape or glue that on.
I know you were dying to see my finished card, so here ya go! I used a nice little pizza pun of course. My husband would expect nothing less. I hope you all enjoyed this post, make sure to check out some of my other Valentine’s Day crafts, they’re a blast! Also, leave a comment below and tell me what your plans are for Valentine’s Day.
